Most people know the story of how I made it out to Utah a little over a year ago. But for a little recap, it took 7 months of me throwing a tantrum for the Lord to finally make me see that I needed to be out here. Everything fell into place once I made that decision to make the move. I found a job, I found a place to live, put in my 2 weeks notice and drove across the country with my best friend and sister.
Fast forward a little, the job wasn't everything I'd hoped it would be. But I made some friends along the way and life continued to worked out. Moved on to a better job and life seemed to working out the way that I wanted it to.
Went back to my first Utah job to visit and my life would change for the better. Saw a guy working security and he checked me in so that I could go upstairs at the hospital. From that night on we texted, went out and things got pretty serious between us. This all happened 3 months ago as of today. My how time flies. Neither of us were looking for anything serious. We liked being with each other and talking. There wasn't a day that went by that we didn't talk. I feel like I've been on my phone more these last couple months than I ever have.
We went on ice cream dates, we go on a date to Bridal veil falls, he came over to celebrate my birthday with me, we decided to be exclusive, he cheers me on for my half marathon, halloween party with his family- meet some of his family, movie dates, meet more of his family, have Sunday family dinners with them, watch football games together, get invited over to Thanksgiving, go hot tubing, family Christmas dinner/party, ward Christmas party, meet some extended family, invited over for Christmas morning festivities, get a pair of matching pjs with the family, included in all family traditions, dinners with the family after working all day, New years events with the family- movie, Martinelli's, and fireworks, and ringing in the new year with his family.
All of this leads to the fact that we got engaged yesterday before I went off for work. Almost 3 months from the time we started dating we're engaged. Now in about 3 months time we'll be getting married.

Field Trip with L
I try to be a fun babysitter. Sometimes our outings turn out to be more fun for me than they are for L but I think for the most part, we both have fun. L loves to see temples so I'm trying to go visit a different one each outing. Today's outing we went to Salt Lake to see the temple, had a picnic in Heber and then went down to Bridal Veil Falls. So fun!

BYU vs. Virginia
Another football game. It felt like the players wanted revenge after last year's game. They got it. It was a good game. I got a sunburn too!

Running
One of my favorite times to go run is early early in the morning. There's just something to it. It's a time where I can clear my head and just be by myself. I love running up to the temple as well. I remember when that run felt like it was super long, now it's part of longer runs.

BYU football
September 11 football game. BYU vs. University of Houston. Got tickets and went with Angie and her husband. Seats were in the end zone where the cannon is and we were only 8 rows up. So close to the field. BYU started out strong and with some ridiculous calls Houston inched ever closer in points. But luckily the boys showed up at half time and we were able to pull of the win. 3-0 to start of the season.

Running
So I don't even know how long I've been running now but tonight was a first. I fell. In the middle of my run, after 2 miles I fcae planted bad. Hit both my knees, bruised my shoulder, hit my jaw and jammed my thumb.

US/ Canada
Last day in Canada so what do we do... head back to the US. Daylight temple pictures and playing at the border without getting in trouble with border patrol.
